IMAG(in)E: The black photographic tradition through flux, 2024
During the summer of 2024, I helped build IMAG(in)E, a six-week film photography course for high schoolers in The Bronx. A large part of the curriculum was to not just learn B/W analogue photography on a technical level, but to also deeply interrogate what it means to show up in a photograph, as individuals and as members of our respective communities. Through a collaborative process between myself and each student, we created a series of class portraits wherein students stake claim to how they are represented.
